Dean Liddell is an Australian Christian, living on the New South Wales Central Coast. Dean lives alone and is (as of 5th of December 2020) still a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has been a member since October 2018. Dean Liddell was raised by his two parents on the New South Wales Central Coast with his brother. Dean, while raised as apart of no religious organisation always felt a strong connection to Christianity since the bible was one of his favourite books to read growing up, having a Good News Bible gifted to him on his naming day by his paternal grandparents.
Dean joined the Christian faith in 2011, being apart of the Assemblies of God in Australia (Australian Christian Churches) branch of Christianity at a small, now closed, church called Encounter Life Church led by Murray and Suzanne Newman (Located at 13 Apprentice Drive, Berkley Vale). After a while, Dean started attending the Long Jetty Corps of the Salvation Army (Located at 1-7 McLachlan Ave, Long Jetty) and EV Church at night (located at 331 Terrigal Dr, Erina). However, in 2015, Dean left the whole faith and joined the Baha'i Faith. However he still believed in the divinity of Christ, he did forsake the faith for a while. Yet after a lot of prayer and reflection, he reconnected to Christianity and attended Hope UC for a while from about mid 2017, to October 2018, when he got baptised into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He joined after a dream from God to join the church. however, over the year of 2020, druing the time of Covid-19, Dean had some uneasy feelings of being a member of the church, and when the sense of community was lost over the late period of 2019 and through 2020, feeling disconnected from the church.
So on the 4th December 2020, Dean decided to reconcile his faith, and follow a theme for the year 2021. Dean decided that 2021 will have the theme of strength in terms of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual strength. Dean decided to write a blog, called "Faith After Covid", trying to build strength in the spiritual and mental terms. The spiritual terms, the goal of the Faith After Covid blog is to build strength in his faith, and this may be the reason why he either stays or leave the church he is apart of right now. Mentally, writing has always been helpful for Dean to cope with stress and brings peace in terms of mental and emotional stress.
